Lavrov defends Ukraine invasion at UNSC

New York [US], April 25:Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has accused the West of hegemonic plans and defended his country's Ukraine invasion. "Ukraine issue" could not be viewed in isolation from geopolitical developments in which NATO had threatened Russia's security, Lavrov told a UN Security Council meeting."It's about how relations will continue to be shaped through establishing a sound consensus on the basis of balance of interests or through aggressive and volatile advancement of Washington's hegemony," he said.(DPA)
