New Delhi, April 09 (ANI): With India having several holy sites on its land, a delegation from Mongolia visited Buddhist pilgrim sites in the country. Recognising India’s take on peace amid increasing war situations in the world, the delegation lauded country’s efforts to promote peace. The 40-member delegation comprising artists, journalists, businessmen, anthropologist, historian and others, is being headed by 7th Naro Banchen Rinpoche, Head of Naro Banchen Trust and Naropa Monestary Founder. The delegation also met with Indian Buddhist scholars and officials from the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) in Delhi. Extolling country’s ‘ancient wisdom’, Rinpoche spoke on the lessons that can be learned from India. The delegation will also participate in the upcoming Global Buddhist Conference in Delhi. IBC Deputy General Secretary Jangchup Choedon further praised the ‘strong relations’ shared between India and Mongolia.
