Washington DC (USA), July 25 (ANI): US President Joe Biden on July 25 addressed the whole nation for the first time after he announced his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential election race and endorsed Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party nominee. He briefed on the reason for dropping out of the presidential election race saying that the best way forward is to pass the torch to the new generation to unite the country of USA. He also briefed about his duty for the next 6 months until the end of his tenure. “…In this moment, we can see those we disagree with not as enemies, but as fellow Americans... We are a great nation because we are a good people... I believe my record as president, my leadership in the world, and my vision for America's future all merited a second term, but nothing, nothing can come in the way of saving our democracy... I've decided the best way forward is to pass the torch to the new generation to unite our nation. There is a time and a place for long years of experience in public life, but there's also a time and a place for new voices... Over the next six months, I'll be focused on doing my job as the president... I'll keep defending our personal freedoms and civil rights, from the right to vote to the right to choose. I'll keep calling out hate and extremism, and make it clear there is no place in America for any violence... I'm going to keep speaking out to protect our kids from gun violence... I will keep working to ensure America remains strong and secure and the leader of the free world..." said US President Joe Biden.
